Decent place. Nothing outstanding. Batter on fish and chips was too heavy. Butterscotch pudding very tasty just too salty. Maybe use a dash of fine salt and not coarse salt. Brulee was delicious. Pb&j burger taste just like a PB&J, more so than burger

Good food and drinks. The setting and ambiance is very cool.

Awesome place! Reminds you of elementary school again. It gets pretty packed so I would make a reservation.

Love the concept! I wish my public schools looked this when I was a student 😝 Bathrooms clean, atmosphere is eclectic and the dessert cookie is yummy but make sure your sweet tooth is prepared!

Very cool concept. We started off on the bad food as there was a big delay in getting our drinks. However, the manager Athena, made it right. The food tasted good and was exactly as requested. The employees couldn't have been nicer.

Public School has a really nice layout and decor. The bartenders and waitresses are all really helpful and friendly. The food and drinks are great. I will definitely be back soon!

I came here for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Avery was our server and he was awesome, some of the best service I’ve ever had! I would definitely recommend the peanut butter burger, it’s delicious!

I got really excited when I saw that they had vegan options on their menu but all I found that was vegan (according to public school 972) was hummus, chips and salsa. This was pretty disappointing. Then I saw that they had the impossible burger, but it was not considered vegan nor vegetarian. I thought the whole point of the impossible burger was to accommodate vegans? People need to stop slapping the word vegan on their menu if they don't have vegan options. I mean you dont really expect vegans to only eat sides do you? It was a shame that we had to leave as soon as we found this out because the waiter lost out on money as well.

First time here and I must say it’s amazing. The ambiance is so great. Food is excellent and drinks are just as great.

Very nice place for brunch. Lots of open space inside so the noise level was very good. Can hold conversations without having to yell, unlike many other brunch spots. All the food was delicious and presented well.

Excellent food, drinks, and service. Little pricy but acceptable for such an upscale place. Only complaint is that it was a bit too warm and stuffy inside the restaurant!

Nice bar with a great theme! Could have more vegetarian and vegan options but the bartenders were great about suggesting things and telling me what accommodations they could make. Will definitely be back!Edit: I've been back at least 3 times in the past 6 months and I'm sure I'll be back many more times in the future

I was there with group of friends for breakfast and it was empty as it was a holiday or something so it was nice :)Food: Yummy and good, got the burger and avocado toast which was greatService: Was good as and they were not a lot of people so ...they served water all the time without asking them, it may look stupid but in most place u need to ask so many times.Place: really cool to be and in the style of a school as the name of the place itself, nice area also to read books, right on the small lake and organized wellrecommending it

Went there for brunch after church around 1:45. The place wasn’t crazy crowded and we were seated immediately! This was my first time visiting this location although I’d been to PS 214 in Uptown. I ordered the Chicken sausage and cheddar grits, it was OK at best. The actual sausage was great but the grits were “fried” into this square patty-like thing and wasn’t seasoned well, I couldn’t even taste the “cheddar” in it! The sauce was a little too salty but I did eat the food so.... My son had the fish and chips off of the kids menu which had more batter than fish, he didn’t finish it because of that fact. My friend’s chicken and waffles came out lukewarm, the mimosas and beermosas are good! This location is bigger than the Uptown location with more patio space and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. I’ll definitely go again, I just won’t order the grits.

What a fantastic place to dine or just enjoy a few drinks with friends. Amazing, friendly, and attentive service. Fun atmosphere. Really great food with some unique twists in there. That PB&J Burger for instance, is unexpected and very tasty. Their appetizers alone will keep you happy too. Bar games like darts and shuffleboard, outdoor patio area overlooking the lake and fountain, and some perfect large rooms for private events. Definitely one of my new favorites. Check it out!

Went for an early dinner, and got a few items off the "recess", aka happy hour, menu. Top notch grub! Fritters were crispy and flavorful, Manhattan made with a real sweet vermouth, soba noodles, chicken hamburger. Cookie sandwich dessert!It was all very tasty and service was attentive. They even rolled back the AC on the colder than expected day. It's a hoot, you should go.

The decor is unique. Happy hour is very reasonable. Recommend the BBQ Bison burger. Absolutely delicious! The service is very good and makes up for the subpar menu.

The food is amazing! The atmosphere is great! The staff is not. They are nice enough for sure but with 6 people at a bar that seats 24 no one can get served. Bartender is M.I.A. most of the time. Another couple that was at the opposite corner of the bar came down to us to ask if it was just them, and if we knew where the bartender was. There is no sense of urgency with the staff and that rolls up to management. A table of 5 women ordered food and asked for cutlery. They brought them forks.. no napkins. We asked for two spoons and got 1. The staff doesn't seem happy to be here. I really wanted this place to be a regular stop but I doubt I will consider it again.

Wesley was a great server!!! The atmosphere was awesome! I'd rate the food about a 8 because my chicken was a bit tough. However, the sweet potatoe fries were DELICIOUS!!!! I can't wait to visit again and try something new!

I had the fish and chips.. The fish was very oily. I know it's fried fish, but it was super oily. The browine was good. Needs a bigger scoop of ice-cream. Also has the tots. They were really good also. Service was slow at lunch today.

What a cool concept restaurant! Some cool beers and liquors. The food specials are unique! Great service! A+. The blonde manager stopped by and was very nice. Will come back soon

Delicious place to eat and drink with friends and family. What a cute theme and the food is always fresh. The specialty drinks revolving menu is also really cool. Great place for brunch. Sad they took away the chorizo from the brunch menu as it was truly a delight, but the brunch menu and deviled eggs are always good. Very low key place but really nice scenery closer towards the window doors and see the pond, waterfall area.

What can I say about this place..?? Beer... GREAT!! Bartenders... MORE great!! Scenery... AWESOME; & the food... KILLER!!! I ordered a few stouts 👌🏾👌🏾, and the chicken sandwich with fries. This was probably the best meal I had on this visit to Dallas. The artsy craft of this place is so unique, honestly it's like something you've never seen (both inside and outside areas). The inside is mostly school themed. The food doesn't take long to prepare and the service is top of the line. I'll definitely be back.

Public School 972 is part of a chain of restaurants. This is their location in Addison. I met a former coworker here on a Friday for Happy Hour. We sat at the bar and ordered drink and bar food. The service was good. (The bartender did forget my one beer out of the four I drank, but I wasn't mad about it. She apologized and got my beer ASAP.)The service here is good. I always had a cold beverage in my hand (minus the one mishap above). The food here was really tasty. We ordered the parmesean truffle frites and they were very truffle forward. The mini chicken sliders were good as well.If I had to gripe about one thing is that their happy hour beer selection was poor. They didn't have any dark beers on their happy hour prices. Overall, I had a great experience. The atmosphere was nice as well. I will be back.

Was referred to this location by an employee at the 214 location. We promised we would check it out and today leaving sidecar social, we finally had the opportunity. We knew the food was good but WOW. This location is GORGEOUS! Cant wait for the weather to get better so we can come back and sit on that patio!

This is my new found favorite spot. True to their name, this bar and restaurant want to educate you in a new adventurous palette. Patio is quite nice, and in the winter evenings the fire place is lovely.

Good place to grab lunch when you’re in Addison. They have a lot of very inventive items on the menu. On this visit, I ordered the Chicken and Waffles and it was quite delicious.

My new favorite Texan restaurant! They did a fantastic job of decorating the restaurant with a school theme. Even the menu looked like a notebook for homework! A+ for the interior and exterior design (pun intended). Food was so damn good, I'm gaining weight just talking about it, lol. Matt gave excellent service, and he was actually working by himself due to it being New Year's Day. Definitely going back.

Super cool vibe and theme, and the food matches up perfectly. There's plenty of "safe" fare here, but you can easily step off the beaten path with entrees like the peanut butter and jelly burger, which is phenomenal. Pro tip: ask for some sriacha ketchup to go with an order of sweet potato fries. Your taste buds will sing!

Great place and fantastic service. We had a company event there with around 30 people in our group. We had a buffet style meal it was great. This was my first time in this restaurant and I was glad I came in. Jason was the manager and he came to check on us to ensure we had all we needed. Had a great server staff that took great care of us. Matt was especially nice from the server staff and knows how to pace his guests and a good server knows how to do that. I will be back to eat there again. This place is definately great for big events and well organized to help ensure that their guests have a great time. So thanks to Jason, Matt, and the rest of the staff for a great evening. Oh and I almost forgot to mention great patio with an awesome view.

The bartender was incredibly nice, although she didn't have to, as we walked in 5 minutes before closing. The atmosphere is very modern and comfortable. It did enough to impress me in the short time I was there. I will definitely return to enjoy the atmosphere, drinks and try the food, in order to add to this review.

I loved the setup.. ambience inside and outdoor was amazing. Although they have a vegetarian menu but very limited. Everything in food and drinks we had was pretty average. If I will ever go back again, it's because of look and feel.

Pretty interesting concept for a restaurant. Made to look like a school, and I think it's because chefs learn and experiment here with combinations of different flavors and ingredients that traditionally do not go together. Some things work, some things don't. YMMV.

Cute decor, great food! $7 carafes when you purchase an entree. Their cocktails are great as well! Will def be back
